About Me :: I grew up on the wild eastern coast of Southern Africa, exploring tropical forests and surfing in waters that, looking back, were probably a little too shark-friendly. Those early years taught me to love adventure, observation, and the thrill of an unfolding mystery—all things that eventually found their way into my writing. These days, I live in leafy Surrey with my family, where I spend most mornings writing and most afternoons wandering the countryside or walking along the Thames, not far from where many of my stories take place. When I’m not working on a new novel, I write about writing and publishing, drawing on my background in journalism and copywriting.
About my books :: I write crime fiction with heart, pace, and plenty of twists. My work includes the DCI Rob Miller, Kenzie Gilmore, and Shrap Nelson series—each exploring justice, morality, and the shades of gray in between. My books have been shortlisted for the Feathered Quill and CWA Debut Dagger Awards, and The Marlow Murders was voted Best Crime Fiction Book in the Indie Excellence Awards. I’m proud to be part of the crime-writing community through the Sisters in Crime UK/EU Chapter, the CWA, and the Alliance of Independent Authors. Most of all, I hope my stories pull readers into a world that feels as vivid and unpredictable as real life—just with a few more bodies along the way.
