The B Side

The B side of an album doesn’t exist without the A side. Similarly, The B Side wouldn’t exist without Those Who Are Bound. This story is not easily read as a stand-alone. You may, of course, but some context will be missing as these characters were introduced in Those Who Are Bound. The B Side is not a rock star romance. It’s not even a romance. Return to Kansas City, because the story isn’t finished. In the continuation of Those Who Are Bound, Beckman, Lucy, and Killion strive to come to terms with scandalous pasts, secret infatuations, insecurities, loss, unusual love, and the judgment of others. Elliott Beckman Beckman is an emotionally adrift DC detective with several divorces behind him and a longstanding inappropriate relationship finally over. He’s also suffered the loss of the only family he knows. When the last of the Rork family, his namesake, Elliott—Ellie—fell in love with Jonah Montgomery, she no longer needed him. All he wanted was a family of his own, to belong. That dream appeared unattainable until a woman twenty years his junior lit up his world. Killion Murphy Killion, the Easy Street Events handyman with a bald head, tattoos, sassy comebacks and cheeky grins. He’s also a devoted son to his ailing mother. And a parolee. Because of his past mistakes, he’s uncertain if the woman he desires could love him back. But when the opportunity presents itself, he doesn’t hesitate. Lucy Moore Jonah Montgomery’s best friend and event planner for Easy Street Events, Lucy is a head-in-the-clouds romantic in love with love. So much so, she fell for a dead man she’d never met, creating a world for herself where he walks beside her; one where she’s not alone. But then a silver fox walks into the event center. But he isn’t alone in craving her affection. All she wanted was love, to be overwhelmed by it. But not like this. Right? Three people. Three wishes. A family. A chance. Overwhelming love. Be careful what you wish for.
