About Me :: Tasche Laine writes character-driven stories that explore the fragile spaces between trust and betrayal, loss and survival. Drawn to emotional complexity and psychological nuance, she creates narratives that pull listeners deep into the hearts and minds of her characters. Her work blends tension with empathy, making her audiobooks especially immersive and emotionally resonant experiences. She believes stories should challenge us, move us, and ultimately remind us we’re not alone. Beyond fiction, she is also the creator of the Color ’n Chill coloring book line—for listeners who love pairing powerful storytelling with creative relaxation.

I used to be a Studio Teacher in Hollywood, teaching child actors on set—including a young Zendaya. Watching performers bring stories to life up close deepened my love for storytelling in every form.

About my books :: I build emotionally immersive worlds where internal conflict matters just as much as external danger. Relationships are complex, motives aren’t always clear, and tension grows in subtle, psychological ways. My stories are designed to pull listeners deep into layered emotions—making audio a powerful way to experience the nuance, intensity, and humanity at the heart of each narrative.

“Thank you for giving your time and attention to stories that ask you to feel deeply and think carefully. I’m honored you’ve invited my words into your space. Stories connect us in ways we don’t always see—but I hope mine remind you to trust your instincts, stay curious, and never underestimate your own strength.”

Glass Stars is an emotional book where a teenager has so much going on, it's hard to imagine her even functioning. At the start of High School, no one should have to worry about the things that she does. I love how the main character, V, identifies with Veronica Mars. That's one of my favorite shows, and I love Kristen Bell so all of that made me instantly bond with V. The book is definitely for teens, it's written a little younger than some of the YA books I read, but I think it's true to the characters being 14. The author did a great job of making her writing sound like the voice of a 14 year old girl. I was a little disappointed in the end, but it's unrealistic to expect everything to work out perfectly. I won't say more to avoid spoilers. *I was given a free advanced copy of this book, which I voluntarily reviewed.*

I enjoyed the main character “V” and her unwavering commitment to her friend Emma while also facing a personal struggle when her mom is diagnosed with cancer. Even though the book is YA, it did not feel “too young” for me to be reading, in fact, I bought the rest of the series as well. After reading the author’s note and learning of the book’s preface, you can’t help but love this author’s intention. Whether you are YA or OA “old adult” 😂 you will enjoy this book.
